The European partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) launches its first Joint Transnational Call for proposals aiming to encourage the optimization of patient care pathways and contribute to the transition towards more sustainable, efficient, resilient, ethical, high-quality, and accessible person-centered healthcare systems. The European partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has been established as a European Joint Program partnership co-funded from the European Commission. The aim of THCS is to coordinate and optimize research and innovation efforts in Europe and its partners countries supporting health and care systems transformation.

The first call within the partnership focuses on the healthcare of the future. The call is a collaboration between 21 countries and the European Commission. Each country finances its own partners in the international consortia. Each consortium must consist of partners from at least three different countries participating in the call. Swedish participation is made possible through a collaboration between Forte and Vinnova.

Scope of the call

This call invites proposals addressing solutions for seamless integration of the different settings in which health and care is delivered and received, locally, regionally, at home or in specialized hospitals, under different contexts.

Grant type

Project grants. The minimum project duration is 12 months and maximum duration of projects are 36 months.

Budget

For this call, Forte has a budget of approximately SEK 15 million.
