Social relations and social issues
The area Social relations and social issues includes research on how individuals and social groups interact and their positions and relations towards each other. The area covers both living conditions in everyday life and how these relate to the welfare state and civil society organisations. The focus is on the phenomenon level: occurrence, explanation and understanding.
The area covers research on identity and socialisation, on marginalisation, migration and integration, on life cycles and living conditions, on gender, body and sexuality, as well as crime, violence and abuse.
