Extension of the project duration
If you have an ongoing grant from Forte, you should finalise your project within the time frame specified in your grant decision. However, there are circumstances when an extension of the project duration is possible.
Forte only approves an extension of the project duration in cases where parental leave or circumstances beyond your control has prevented your research and thus affected the possibility to finalise the project on time. This primarily refers to parental leave or long-term illness of the project leader. The absence may also refer to other project participants that are central for the project.
How to submit a request
Requests to extend the project duration are submitted through Prisma.
Your request to extend the project duration must be submitted during the last year of the availability period and at least two months before the availability deadline. The availability period of your grant is specified in the document Approval of terms. The administering organisation must sign the request before it is forwarded to Forte for assessment.
