Forte is responsible for a ten-year national research programme on mental health. This is the programme’s first call and researchers are invited to apply for project grants for research about children’s and young people’s mental health. In total, SEK 70 million is reserved for the period 2022-2025.
Focus of the research
The mental health of children and young people has received attention in recent years and is now seen as one of the great societal challenges of our time. The call is therefore intended to contribute to increased knowledge about children’s and young people’s mental health, and applications within this call should focus on one or more of the areas described below:
- Prevalence and distribution regarding wellbeing, mental problems and psychiatric disorders among children and young people
- Interventions to promote the mental wellbeing of children and young people
- Prevention and early interventions for children and young people’s mental problems
- Interventions for treatment regarding children and young people with psychiatric disorders
Grant form
The call consists of one grant type: project grant. You can apply for funding for a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years.
Grant amount
There is no maximum limit for this type of funding, but the budget must be explained in the application. Forte grants an average of about SEK 1.3 million annually in project funding.
Eligibility
You are eligible to apply for project grants in this call if you have completed a doctoral degree no later than the date when the call closes.
The administering organisation must have an account
To be able to apply for a grant, a Swedish university or another research funding body must administrate the funding and have an organisational account in Prisma. The administering organisation should apply for this in due time via Prisma.
