Gender equality
Forte is committed to promoting equal opportunities and gender equality, as well as actively preventing discrimination. This applies both within our own organisation and in the agency’s activities.
According to our government mandate, Forte must integrate a gender equality perspective into our operations and promote gender equality in the allocation of research funding.
Forte has also been tasked by the government with continuing to develop its work on gender mainstreaming, in order for our activities to contribute to the achievement of gender equality policy goals, and to ensure that a sex and gender perspective is included in the research we fund. We report on our work with gender mainstreaming in our annual report.
An important condition for objectivity in the assessment process is gender equality. No applicant or application should be assessed differently based on gender or other factors that are not included in the assessment criteria.
Internal governance documents
We have developed two internal governance documents for our gender mainstreaming efforts: a policy on equal rights and opportunities, and an action plan for the years 2022–2025.
