Create and fill in your application
In order to submit an application, you fill out the application form in Prisma linked to the call and the grant type that you are interested in.
Instructions can be found on the call's page
Instructions on how to complete the form can be found on the specific call's page here on Forte.se. Keep the instructions handy while preparing your application. You can start filling in the information, save it, and continue at a later time.
You create your application under the tab Applications and grants in Prisma. You, as the creator of the application, are the main applicant and the intended project leader for the research.
Keep in mind that completing an application takes time!
Start your application well in advance. Please note that you will not be able to submit it if any mandatory information is missing.
Other participants in the project
As the main applicant, you are the project leader and scientifically responsible for the project. In some calls, there is also the possibility to invite other participants to the project, such as participating researchers and administrators.
Participating researchers
Participating researchers must also hold an awarded doctoral degree. By participating researchers, we mean other researchers whose involvement will be essential for carrying out the proposed research. They do not need to be employed by the administrating organisation.
Participating researchers must have a personal account in Prisma. As the main applicant, you are responsible for inviting participating researchers to your application. Make sure to contact any potential participating researchers early in the process. You do this under the “Participants” tab in your application. You will not be able to submit the application until all invited researchers have accepted your invitation.
Participating administrators
The main applicant may invite a participating administrator to help them complete the
application form. The administrator is not part of the project but has access to the draft
application. A participating administrator cannot register the final version of an
application and does not have access to the application once the final version has been
registered in Prisma.
Other participants
In addition to participating researchers, it is also possible to include other participants in the project and apply for salary funds for them. These participants do not necessarily need to be researchers; they can include anyone essential for the project’s implementation. This also means they do not need to have a doctoral degree or their own accounts in Prisma.
Other participants may, but are not required to, be named. Their roles and contributions to the project are further described in the application. This category may include any doctoral students who are expected to participate in the project.
Internationell research collaborations
Forte views international research collaborations positively. Forte’s grants may be used to finance research where certain parts are carried out in other countries. However, the research must be initiated, led from and mainly carried out in Sweden or be a part of international collaborative research (unless otherwise stated in the call text).
The grant from Forte may be used by the administrating organisation to cover costs for foreign personnel or activities and services performed in other countries. If the foreign researcher is essential for the implementation of the project, they may create their own account in Prisma and be included as a participating researcher.
