Scientific reporting

Scientific reporting must be done in Prisma by the project leader for the grant. When it is time to report, you will receive an email notification. The forms usually open three months before the final reporting deadline.

Progress reports

  • Three-year project grants (or longer) should in general submit a progress report no later than 15 months after the start of the project period.
  • Programme grants should in general submit a progress report when half time is reached (after 3 years).

The scientific report must be done by the project leader for the grant. You will receive an email from Prisma when it is time to report.

Other grant types are not required to submit progress reports, but must submit a General Scientific Report upon the completion of the project.

The following information must be provided:

The project is ongoing as planned according to:

  • Costs (yes/no)
  • Implementation of project plan (yes/no)
  • Deviations (if any) – max 2 000 characters

Programme grants should in general submit a progress report when half time is reached (after 3 years). The following information shall be reported in the form. Other types of progress reporting outside Prisma may occur.

The programme’s research activities (max 10 000 characters)

Describe the programme’s research activities until now. This also includes:

  • National research exchange
  • International research exchange
  • Dissemination of knowledge (which also includes dissemination of knowledge outside the scientific community)
  • Collaboration with stakeholders outside the scientific community in planning process and/or through the programme
  • Aim of collaboration (for example contribute to scientific result, contribute to societal needs and utilisation)

Also comment on how the programme has followed the plans regarding:

  • Costs (yes/no)
  • Feasibility (yes/no)
  • Any deviations (please describe if the programme, in any aspects, does not follow the plan) – max 2 000 characters

Plans for further activities within the programme (max 10 000 characters)

Describe the plans for forthcoming activities within the programme. This also includes present research tasks and plans for recruitment.

Publications (max 20 000 characters)

List publications that the research group has produced within the framework of the programme. Specify the publications under two different headlines: Published results and Ongoing and planned publications.

General information

Project participant information

Provide the following information per participant (if relevant to the grant):

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Role in the project
  • Year of doctoral degree (not mandatory)
  • Dissertation within the project (not mandatory)
  • Area of expertise
  • Employment category
  • Organisation

SCB codes (three levels)

In order to facilitate future analysis of research funded by all Swedish research funding agencies, all grants are classified according to Statistics Sweden’s standard. Select research topic in three levels.

Final Reporting

The scientific final report must be submitted by the project leader. For organisation grants, it is the administrating organisation that will receive the task in Prisma. As a rule, the report must be submitted no later than three months after the end of the availability period.

When it is time to report, the project leader will receive an email from Prisma. Forte uses two different reporting forms, the most common being the Scientific Report.

The General Scientific Report is used for grants such as conference grant, visiting researcher grant, planning grant, impact grant, cooperation grant and journal grant.

The applicable reporting form will be indicated when you access the form in Prisma.

Describe in popular science terms the most important research results achieved by the project. If relevant, please also describe the social benefit and expected impacts on society resulting from the research results.

Forte’s areas of coordination
Forte is the national coordinator of research in five research areas. Choose one of the areas if they apply to your application. If none are applicable for your project, choose the option “no coordination area”.

Sustainable development goals
Classify your application according to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. You can choose a maximum of three goals.

Intellectual property
List the intellectual property that has been produced within the framework of the project/grant.

Use of research infrastructure
Describe the use of research infrastructure within the project.

Academic career* (max 2 000 characters)
Has the grant been of help to your academic career and if so, in what way? Applies only to postdoc grants.

Research questions* (max 1 500 characters)
Describe the research question/s that has been addressed by the project.

Research results* (max 4 500 characters)
Briefly describe the most important research results achieved by the project. Clarify what new knowledge your research has resulted in and whether the project’s results have been affected by any deviations from the research plan

Categorisation of results
Report and classify different types of results (not publications, intellectual property, companies) that have come directly or indirectly from your project.

Cooperation in the research process* (max 2 000 characters)
In which parts of the research process have relevant collaborative actors been involved and how has it contributed to the implementation of the research?

Relevance of the research in solving societal challenges* (max 3 000 characters)
In what way can this new knowledge help to manage/solve the societal problems that your research relates to in a better way? Give examples of how your results could be used in society.

Collaboration countries
Provide information of any collaboration countries.

Communication (max 2 000 characters)
Describe the effects of the communication activities above

Publications (max 9 000 characters)
Report project publications.
