Register your application
Once you have completed your application and filled in all the mandatory information, you must register it. Your administrating organisation must then sign the application within seven days after the call has closed; otherwise, your application will not proceed to the review process.
Review your application before registering it
On the Overview page in the Prisma application form, you can verify that all mandatory information has been completed. You can also check whether you have exceeded any character limits or gone over the budget cap.
Please note that some parts of the application may not be mandatory but could still be important to include. A helpful tip is to click Preview (view application PDF) to get a clear overview of your application draft.
Click the ‘Register’ button to submit your application.
Please note that
- All mandatory information must be completed before you can register your application.
- You can always deregister your application and continue making changes as long as the call is open. Remember to register it again once you are finished.
- When the call closes, your application will be finalised and assigned a reference number.

Your administrating organisation must sign the application
When the call is closed, your application is automatically sent to an authorised representative of the administrating organisation, who needs to sign the application in Prisma. They must sign within seven days in order for your application to proceed in the review process. Once the application has been signed, you will receive an e-mail. You can also check the status of your application in Prisma.
Principle of public access to official records
According to Swedish law, your application is considered a public document once it has been submitted to Forte. This means that anyone can request and read your application.
Information may only be kept secret if it is covered by the secrecy provisions in the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (2009:400).
If your application is granted, abstracts in Swedish and English will be published in open project databases without a confidentiality assessment.
What happens next with your application?
Once you have submitted your application to Forte, it will go through several stages of review.
