Global collaboration
Forte participates in various collaborations, projects and networks that aim to increase efforts and knowledge exchange in the global arena. Read more about our current global collaborations below.
Intsam – National coordination for collaborations
outside Europe
Intsam is a coordinating function for funding of international research and innovation collaborations outside the EU. Intsam is led by Vinnova. Forte, the Swedish Research Council, Formas, the Swedish Space Agency and the Swedish Energy Agency are all involved in Intsam.
Ensuring Value in Research (EViR)
Forte is a member of an international network of research funders; Ensuring Value in Research (EViR), established 2016. The network’s goal is to share experiences and knowledge and develop new ways to increase the benefits of funded research. Forte participates in EViR’s steering group and thus constitutes a central role in the planning and development work of the network itself.
Indian collaboration for ageing and health
On 1 June 2015, Forte signed an agreement with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for research collaboration in the field of ageing and health. The collaboration began in 2014 with a workshop in New Delhi focused on research and research needs in ageing and health. In September 2016, Forte and ICMR announced a joint call for proposals in this field, which closed in January 2017. In February 2022 a new call within the collaboration opened: Health and welfare of ageing populations in Sweden and India 2022. More information can be found among our calls for proposals.
