This is the first stage of Forte’s annual open call for proposals for junior researcher grants 2018. Within this call, we welcome project outlines within Forte’s overall responsibilities of health, working life and welfare.

Forte announces junior researcher grants in December each year. The aim of the grant is to support early stage researchers. Junior researcher grants are awarded for four years and can be granted up to six years after PhD examination. The grant should cover at least 40 per cent of the salary for a junior researcher.

The application process for junior researcher grants is divided into two stages: In stage 1, the applicant submits a project outline. The emphasis of the project outline should be on the research question and what it adds to existing knowledge in the research field. Study design, material and methods need to be clearly described to the extent that the feasibility of the project can be assessed. Applicants with approved outlines are subsequently invited to submit a full application in stage 2.
