Granted applications
About the call
Focus of the call
The call is open for applications within Forte’s areas; health, working life and welfare. The aim is to help ensure that the results of research funded by Forte are put to use. Research results and knowledge should lead to in-depth learning that can form the basis for evidence-based decision-making, changed behaviours or ways of working.
Eligible to apply are those who have an ongoing project or program grant from Forte. Grants are not given to activities that are part of project plans in already granted projects/programs but are given to expanded or new ideas to create increased added value. Through the call, Forte wants to enable activities that strengthen the ‘impact’ of research results in the research area in question. Forte uses ‘impact’ as a collective term for activities that are carried out in order for knowledge and research results to be used.
Grants are not given to activities that only contribute to the dissemination of knowledge. The application must explain and justify how the activity can increase the opportunities for scientific knowledge to be useful. It includes a description of existing knowledge in the field and how the proposed activity adds to this. The application must also describe the societal needs that the project is intended to contribute to meet and how this will be done, in close collaboration with defined target groups and societal actors.
Grant type and limit
Funding may be sought for 1 or 2 years. There is no maximum amount for this type of grant, but a benchmark is SEK 1,000,000 for a two-year project. The requested budget must be explained and justified in the application.
Assessment criteria
Societal relevance
- The societal challenges to which the project relates, how the project intends to help address these challenges, and how well the need for the project is described and justified.
Impact
- In what way, and to what extent, the project is expected to lead to benefits in the short or long term. How well described the demand/need for the intended activity is and how well described and motivated the collaboration is with defined target groups.
Feasibility
- The clarity and reasonableness of the work plan (including the schedule) in relation to the requirements for the implementation of the project.
- Competence and skills of the participants (based on previous experience and achievements) in relation to the requirements for the implementation of the project.
- Reasonableness of budgeted costs and participants’ planned activity levels for the implementation of the project.
