We promote and support research within health, working life and welfare

Forte is funding three research centres that will strengthen knowledge on how to better support people on sick leave in returning to work. The centres conduct interdisciplinary research on workplaces, health and work ability, healthcare interventions, and the societal conditions that influence the return-to-work process.

Two new national research centres will contribute to improving living conditions for people living with dementia and their relatives. At the University of Gothenburg, Demsam is being established with a focus on a dementia-friendly and person-centred society, while Tracedem at Karolinska Institutet brings together researchers around individually tailored prevention, care and support.
