Kruna Madunic will take the role as Forte’s new Head of Communication on 13 February, with the aim of leading, managing and developing Forte’s communication and collaborations.
Kruna Madunic has been acting Head of Communication at Forte since 1 January this year.
Bringing with her to the role of Head of Communication is her extensive experience in strategic communications from three research funding authorities: as a communications strategist at Vinnova, information strategist at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, and more recently in her roll at Forte.
Communicating knowledge-intensive activities that will eventually contribute to a better life for people and benefits for society is meaningful and important to me.
Kruna Madunic came to the authority in 2014 to develop, project manage and carry through the new communications initiative Forte Talks. She later transferred to the role of strategist in communication and collaboration, including the responsibility of creating forums that enable dialogue and knowledge exchange between researchers, policy makers, users and other stakeholders.
In her new role as Head of Communications, she sees that one of the most important tasks will be to continue developing Forte’s work on knowledge dissemination and collaboration.
“It is through communication, dialogue and collaboration that we can bridge the gap between research, policy and practice. Communication is very important for us to succeed in our mission, and Kruna Madunic is the right person to lead this effort”, says Ethel Forsberg, Director General of Forte.
