Forte participates in various collaborations, projects and networks that aim to increase efforts and knowledge exchange in the global arena. Read more about our current global collaborations below.

Indian collaboration for ageing and health

On 1 June 2015, Forte signed an agreement with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for research collaboration in the field of ageing and health. The collaboration began in 2014 with a workshop in New Delhi focused on research and research needs in ageing and health. In September 2016, Forte and ICMR announced a joint call for proposals in this field, which closed in January 2017.

South African collaboration for health equality

In 2015, Forte initiated a bilateral cooperation with the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), a medical research organisation in South Africa. Together with SAMRC we are planning for joint research initiatives over the next three years. In February 2016 our first joint call for proposals closed for collaborative projects in inequalities in health and health systems.

COFAS – A unique programme for internationalisation

Forte’s International Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (COFAS) is a programme that will create opportunities for collaboration and exchange of knowledge between researchers and institutions in different countries. The program makes it easier for researchers to work across borders, by providing financial support for work in other countries.
